Money Saving Coupons Make a Difference

If you're looking for money saving coupons, you probably fall into the huge percentage of Americans looking for ways to save. That was me, too, just a little while ago. I never really thought about how to save money with coupons because I associated them with old ladies trying to save ten cents on yogurt -- in other words, not worth clipping because they didn't make enough of a difference.

I needed to learn the real ins and outs of how to save money on groceries, not how to save 10 cents here and 20 there. But to my surprise, money saving coupons really do... well, save money!

How to Resist Impulse Buying

If you've caught yourself impulse buying, you're not alone. In fact, many stores depend on the impulse buy, because they know if you stick strictly to items you need (or worse yet, those on a list!) they aren't going to get as much money as possible out of you.

So although it's your responsibility to resist the impulse purchase, you aren't necessarily a shopping compulsive just because you can't seem to resist those last minute buys. Stores set themselves up to direct you into impulse buying. Not sure how that can be? Just keep reading!

How to Change Shopping From Me to We

The Me to We movement offers a great opportunity for ethical shopping. It's not hard to find fair trade products and even eco friendly products these days. Most large centers have fair trade specialty stores, and a lot of major supermarkets and other chains have jumped on the ethical band wagon.

Even some major brands such as Cadbury have made a move towards greater responsibility by making their Dairy Milk bars fair trade. But for some reason, it's still difficult to find fair trade clothing. Getting clothes that don't cost a fortune, are made from eco friendly products, and don't involve slave labour can be a really difficult thing to do.

Find Fair Trade Online Shops

It's tricky to find fair trade online shops. There are a lot of them, but fair trade is one area where the UK is far ahead of North America, and if you don't want to pay British shipping charges, you're back at square one.

That said, there ARE American and Canadian fair trade online stores. In addition, many stores from the UK are more than willing to ship overseas, so if you don't mind paying a little bit in postage, you can still get your ethical products quickly and easily.

Do Dryer Balls Work?

Ever wanted to know if dryer balls live up to the hype?

There's one question I wanted answered this year: do dryer balls work? You see them all the time in the supermarket -- pointy plastic looking balls, like a cross between a golf ball and some sort of medieval weapon. So what's all the fuss about, and why would you want these things in the first place?

Diet Ice Cream: Myth, Dream, or Fact?

Even if you're on a diet, ice cream doesn't have to fall from your meal plan! Check out these low cal favorites

I love ice cream, but the thought of diet ice cream makes me cringe. All too often, we're talking about grainy, sticky clumps of too sweet goo with a vaguely dairy feel to them. Fortunately, though, diet ice cream doesn't have to be awful. The key lies in compromise. If you try to go with nonfat, no sugar ice cream, it will probably taste like, well, it doesn't have any fat or sugar.

Instead, you want to opt for lowered fat and sugar. And by the way, don't think that going for something like rice milk or soy products makes the calorie count automatically improve -- some tofu based products boast more fat than Hagen Daaz!

But there are companies out there making fantastic diet ice cream, so before you get too despondent, give these brands a try.

Some Designer Brands Deals Are Too Good To Be True

Many of us love designer brands, but we don't love the prices. Rolex, Cartier, Chanel, Juicy Couture, Fendi, D&G -- the list goes on. The brands are beautiful, no doubt about it. By now you’ve heard the reports about grocery and discount stores selling the their members’ personal purchasing history to telemarketing firms and even insurance companies.
