When It Comes to Camcorders, Do You Want Mini-DV or Mini-DVD?

Christmas is right around the corner and my wife wants a new camcorder to catch all of those glorious Christmas morning memories. While I think still shots are much better for this occasion (can't hear one child screaming that the other's gift is better if there's no sound) she's insisting on motion picture. If you've yet to get a TomTom, Magellan, Garmin or other GPS unit, you should have hit the stores on Black Friday. Some stores were selling GPS devices for as little as $99. Ever since I stayed in a hotel suite with a flat screen television, I've wanted nothing more than to have one mounted right above my fireplace. The picture and sound quality combined with the sleek, cool look had me sold from day one. It was just the price that kept me from jumping in on the flat screen television bandwagon. Interested in an iPhone?

People were waiting in line for hours for the new iPhone. Some just wanted to make sure they got theirs the first day of its release, others were hoping to make a profit. So was the iPhone a hit? Yes. Was it a hit on the level of the Nintendo Wii (which is still, many months after its release, still almost impossible to find in stores)? Not really. However, that's not a bad thing. It means that you can get your hands on an iPhone without paying hundreds of dollars over retail.
